Firemap

Firemap, Website Event Definition Management

Firemap is a SaaS for managing website event definitions. Organize event names, parameters and firing conditions, then compare them with Google Tag Manager (GTM) settings so your team works from consistent definitions.

What does connecting your Google account read?

The initial connection requests read-only access. Firemap reads GTM account, container and workspace names and IDs, plus tag, trigger and variable definitions, to compare with your event definitions. Manual import creates a draft for review, and daily checks detect differences in definitions.

Changes require you to enable access and approve a plan

Editing access is requested only when you select “Add GTM editing permission.” After a project owner or analysis administrator approves a change plan, Firemap creates or updates variables, triggers and tags in the selected GTM workspace. Firemap does not publish GTM containers or delete resources. You publish changes yourself in GTM.

Retention, disconnection and deletion

Refresh tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM; access tokens are not stored. Select “Disconnect” in your project’s GTM connection card to attempt Google token revocation and delete connection details and the encrypted token. If revocation is not confirmed, remove access in your Google account’s third-party app settings. Imported event definitions and apply plans and history remain after disconnection, with no automatic expiry. They are deleted with the project. Send deletion requests to the email below.
