Naver Clip Revenue: Ad Incentive Rules and Payout Check

Naver Clip revenue comes from joining the Clip ad incentive program, which shares ad revenue with you based on the views your clips get. Naver (Korea's largest search engine and web portal) officially launched the ad incentive program on August 13, 2025. According to an August 17, 2026 report by Digital Daily, a Korean tech news outlet, you can join with at least 1,000 profile subscribers and at least 3 million valid video clip views in the last 90 days (as of October 8, 2026).

Two numbers have been reported as the eligibility criteria for the ad incentive program. They are the number of profile subscribers and the valid views your video clips earned over the last 90 days. You must meet both. The reports do not explain how valid views are counted in detail, so judge whether you qualify by the figures shown in the app.

3 million views in 90 days is about 33,000 views per day on average. The criterion is the total of views accumulated over the last 90 days.

Comparing the 3 Naver Clip revenue programs

The ad incentive is not the only way to earn from Clip. A second-half 2025 creator recruitment announcement reported by Byline Network, a Korean IT news outlet, lists the ad incentive, Shopping Connect, and Brand Connect together.

Brand ConnectYou create content in partnership with a brand and receive compensation

Each of the three programs pays on a different basis. Do not apply the subscriber and view criteria of the ad incentive to Shopping Connect or Brand Connect. Check the participation guide for each program separately.

Where to check Naver Clip revenue: the Clip Creator app

You check eligibility and payouts in the Clip Creator app. The app description says "Check your monetization eligibility status and get your earnings paid out," and when the ad incentive launched, Naver also said you can check your payout amount in the app and receive payment.

In the app's monetization eligibility status, see whether you meet the subscriber and view criteria. If you do, check your payout amount in the same app. At the Clip Creators Day held in March 2026, Naver said it plans to add analytics for views, traffic sources, and watch time to the app and let creators manage revenue programs in one place.

Common points of confusion about Naver Clip revenue

Being selected as a Clip creator and joining the ad incentive are separate things. Selection happened through regular recruitment rounds, and 10,000 creators were chosen in the second half of 2025. Creators who were not selected could still take part through the Clip Challenger program. The reported criteria for joining the ad incentive are the two numbers: subscribers and views.

You should also check whether posts that combine text and images qualify for revenue. Naver said this year that it will expand monetizable content from short-form video to posts that combine text and images. However, the 90-day, 3 million view criterion above was reported as a valid view count for video clips.

How much does Naver Clip pay per view?

The reported ad incentive criteria do not include a per-view amount. Check your payout amount in the Clip Creator app.

Can I earn revenue if I was not selected as a Clip creator?

The reported criteria for joining the ad incentive are 1,000 profile subscribers and 3 million valid views in 90 days. Creator selection is not part of those criteria. Creators who were not selected could still create Clip content through the Clip Challenger program.

Can I earn revenue from text and image posts?

Naver introduced a Clip post format and said it plans to expand monetization to posts that combine text and images this year. Check the current scope in the monetization eligibility guide in the app.

What to check today

Open the Clip Creator app and check your profile subscribers and your valid views for the last 90 days under monetization eligibility status. If you are short of 3 million views, calculate the remaining views using the daily average of 33,000, and also read the participation guides for Shopping Connect and Brand Connect.
