As of September 30, 2026, Claude plans are Free at $0, Pro at $20 a month ($17 a month billed yearly), and Max at $100 or $200 a month. Usage is counted in two layers: a 5-hour session and a weekly limit. No official Korean won price list was found, and the listed prices do not include tax.
Prices come from the Claude pricing page. Usage rules come from the Anthropic support articles Pro usage guide and Max plan guide. This check found no price change notice or effective date. The values in this article are the prices shown on the check date.
Read this first in three lines
- Use Free for light use, Pro at $20 for daily use, and Max at $100 or more if you run coding or long tasks all day.
- A limit is not a count of chats. It is usage that shrinks with message length, attached files, and the model.
- Before paying, check that tax is listed separately and look at the yearly billing discount.
Monthly prices are split like this by plan
Individual plans have four tiers. The values below are dollar prices checked on the pricing page on September 30, 2026.
| Plan | Monthly price | Usage | Available models |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Basic level | Sonnet, Haiku |
| Pro | $20 ($17 a month billed yearly) | At least 5x Free per session | Sonnet, Haiku, Opus, Fable (limited) |
| Max 5x | $100 | 5x Pro | All models, including Fable |
| Max 20x | $200 | 20x Pro | All models, including Fable |

The $200 for Max 20x is not on the pricing page. It comes from the Max plan support article. The pricing page only says "from $100".
Team plans are separate. A Standard seat is $25 a month ($20 billed yearly). A Premium seat is $125 a month ($100 billed yearly). Premium gives 5x the usage of Standard. Enterprise is $20 per seat per month plus separate usage charges, billed yearly. This article is for individual buyers, so it focuses on individual plans.
If you use the API for work automation, you pay per token, not by subscription. For that case, see Claude Sonnet 5.5 API features, pricing and use cases.
Usage limits are counted by 5-hour session and weekly limit
A usage limit is the cap on how much processing you can use in a set period. According to the Pro usage guide, the session limit resets every 5 hours. The weekly limit resets once a week at a fixed time set for each account. If you use up a session, you can use Claude again after 5 hours. If you use up the weekly limit, you must wait until the next reset.

This is why the number of messages you can send per day can differ on the same Pro plan. The Pro usage guide says usage changes with message length, the length of attached files, the length of the current conversation, and the model and features you use. Asking Opus 20 follow-up questions with a long PDF attached uses more than 20 short questions.
MCPY did not put an exact daily message count for the Free plan in the table. The official pricing page only calls Free "basic level" and gives no number.
You can check your own usage on the usage screen in Settings. The Pro usage guide says this screen also shows the next reset time.
When you hit a limit, you have four options
These are the options the Pro usage guide describes.

- Wait for the reset: check the next reset time on the usage screen in Settings.
- Turn on usage credits: they let you keep working past your plan limit.
- Buy a limit reset: it restores the 5-hour session or the weekly limit to full.
- Upgrade to Max: you get 5x or 20x the usage of Pro.
We could not confirm the unit prices of usage credits and resets when writing this. Decide based on the amount shown on the checkout screen.
What to check when paying from Korea
The pricing page shows prices in dollars and states that "applicable taxes are not included". We found no Korean won price list in the official documents. So the won amount varies with the exchange rate and tax. For example, if you assume an exchange rate of 1,400 won per dollar, Pro at $20 is 28,000 won before tax. This is an arithmetic example, not an actual charge.

Yearly billing for Pro is $17 a month. Yearly billing can mean a larger single payment. If you expect to use it for only 3 months, monthly billing is better. If you pay with a Korean card, also check in your card issuer's app whether overseas payments are blocked.
Common mistakes
- Memorizing the Free limit as "a set number of chats a day". There is no official number, and it varies with length and model.
- Reading Max 5x and 20x as the same price. If you only see "from $100" on the pricing page, you miss the $200 tier.
- Thinking Pro is unlimited. Pro also has a 5-hour session limit and a weekly limit.
- Mixing the subscription with API usage. API costs for apps and code automation are billed separately by token.
The order to choose in
- Use Free for a week and count how many times you hit the limit.
- If you hit it every week, move up to Pro, and decide on yearly billing after a month of use.
- If you often run out of the weekly limit even on Pro, look at Max 5x. Max 20x comes after that.
Prices and limits can change. Open the pricing page once more before you pay.
