Naver Blog Ads: How to Start Power Contents and What to Avoid

The official Naver blog ad product is Power Contents (content search ads). It shows your Naver blog or cafe post as an ad to users who search a keyword. According to the Naver Ads Center help pages, registering and showing ads is free, and you are charged only when someone clicks (CPC). You set your own bid, from a minimum of 70 KRW to a maximum of 100,000 KRW (excluding VAT). To start, create a Power Contents campaign in the Ads Center, enter your blog address in an ad group, then register keywords and creatives (ad copy) and pass the review. This article is based on the Ads Center help pages checked on October 4, 2026. The Power Contents overview page was last edited on March 29, 2026, and the creative publish date page was updated on October 2. Display conditions and screens can change, so check the edit date on the help page once more before you register.

Power Contents is a product that shows blog and cafe content related to a keyword as an ad. If you already have a blog or cafe post to promote, look at Power Contents first. If your website is the center of your business, look at Power Link first. The two products promote different things. The Ads Center help pages say that you can run ads if you have Naver blog or cafe content related to the search keyword. Power Link, in the same search ads menu, is a product that shows your website and promotional copy, so the promoted target is different.

Where Naver blog ads appear

Power Contents appears in two kinds of placements. One is the search placement, shown when a user searches a keyword the advertiser registered. The other is the recommendation and content placement, which appears next to content regardless of keyword searches. The help page describes the recommendation and content placement as a medium where your ad appears on a content placement when it is related to content written by service users.

The search placement appears in keyword search results. The recommendation and content placement appears at the bottom of mobile service pages.

The mobile recommendation and content placement is ON by default, so a normal creative is shown even if you set nothing. In this placement, industries such as medical, loans and legal services may have their display restricted under the Korea Communications Commission ad guidelines and Naver ad policy.

How to register Naver blog ads in 5 steps

You register in the search ads menu of the Naver Ads Center. For how to check keyword search volume, see our guide on how to use the Naver keyword tool. Enter the details in the order below.

Register in this order: campaign, ad group URL, keywords, creative, bid.
  1. Create a campaign. In [Naver Ads Center > Search Ads], click [+ New campaign] under ad management and choose the campaign type 'Power Contents type', then enter a name (1 to 30 characters) and a daily budget. Once you set a daily budget, display stops when that day's charges reach the amount.
  2. Enter the address in the ad group. When you create the ad group, enter the main URL of the Naver blog or cafe that has the content to promote in the URL field, and your official website address in the business URL field. A registered URL cannot be edited, so check the address once more before you save.
  3. Add keywords. Click [New keyword] on the keyword tab of the ad group. You can add up to 50 keywords per ad group, and only designated keywords can be registered. If the ad group URL is a blog, you can use 'Find by post' to look up keywords you can register. You can also type them in, find them by category, or find them by keyword.
  4. Create a creative (ad copy). In [New creative] on the creative tab, enter the title, description, landing URL, image, business name and content publish date. Character counts and review rules are in the section below.
  5. Set the bid. The default bid is set per ad group. If you set nothing, it is the minimum, 70 KRW. How to choose a bid is in the bid section.

Registered ads are shown after review. Before the review, check that your Bizmoney (ad budget balance) is charged. The Ads Center help page says the business channel review does not proceed if Bizmoney is not charged. A business channel means the address the ad links to, such as a blog or cafe.

Power Contents creative writing and review rules

The creative is the title and description users first see in the ad. Write the title in 7 to 28 characters and the description in 80 to 110 characters. The description must be excerpted as continuous sentences from the landing page (the post that opens when the ad is clicked), and partial excerpts are not allowed. Each ad group can have up to 5 creatives, and if you register 2 or more, the display ratio of the better performing creative is adjusted automatically.

The most common review failure is the link between keyword and creative. According to the help page, the creative title or description must contain the purchased keyword, and splitting a keyword into syllables is not allowed. To pass review, every keyword in the same ad group must be checked for relevance against every creative in the group. If you have many keywords, split them into ad groups of keywords that can share the same creative. The Ads Center also recommends this.

The title or description uses superlatives such as 'maximum', 'first' or 'No. 1'Justification requiredSubmit objective justification or supporting documents with the creative

The table follows the 4 types that cannot be registered and the justification rule on the Power Contents creative help page. For images, only BMP, JPEG and PNG can be imported, and animated images such as GIF are not supported. For the image emphasis type, which shows several images from the post, the help page says display conditions can differ by search term and may change later.

How to set a Power Contents bid

The bid is the maximum amount you will pay for one click. The help page explains that a higher amount can bring more impressions and clicks but can also raise ad costs, so finding an efficient bid is important. You set bids as a default bid that applies to the whole ad group and as per-keyword bids. If you set an individual bid on a keyword, that value applies regardless of the default bid.

If you are not sure where to start, look at the minimum exposure bid the help page recommends. It is the highest bid among the lowest-ranked ads shown in search over the last 4 weeks. The advice is to bid that amount and adjust as you watch performance. It is a value from the past 4 weeks, so it does not guarantee display today.

Bids work differently in the recommendation and content placement. Ads in this placement are recommended and shown by AI, so keyword matching is not used, and keyword bids do not apply. If you do not set a dedicated bid, the ad group default bid is used. You set the dedicated bid in [Advanced options] when creating or editing an ad group.

How to check that your ad is showing after registration

Saving does not make the ad appear right away. Power Contents review usually takes 1 to 2 business days, and up to 3 days including the business channel review. Check the four items below in order.

Checklist diagram for Naver blog ads Power Contents after registration: review status, Bizmoney, PC and mobile search, and impressions and clicks
Check in this order: review status, Bizmoney, PC and mobile search, impressions and clicks.
  1. Check the review result of the ad group and creative. If the result is display restricted, the help page says to check the reason for the restriction, fix it, and request a re-review.
  2. If the review does not move, check whether Bizmoney is charged in [Component management > Bizmoney] of the ad system.
  3. Search the purchased keyword on PC and on mobile separately and see whether the ad appears. The help page says search results and ranking can differ by medium depending on each ad's display strategy, so a different rank on the two devices is not a problem.
  4. Once display starts, check in the Ads Center performance report that impressions and clicks are building up. When these numbers start to grow, the ad is actually running.

Common mistakes when starting with Power Contents

  • Not charging Bizmoney. Without a charge, the business channel review does not start. Charge it before you register the ad.
  • Entering the wrong URL. A registered URL cannot be edited. Enter the blog main address and the official website address in the right fields and check them before saving.
  • Splitting the keyword in the creative. The purchased keyword must appear in the title or description in the same form. If there are too many keywords to match one creative, split the ad group.
  • Using superlatives. Phrases such as 'No. 1' and 'first' require justification documents. If you have no objective proof, do not use them.
  • Not knowing the mobile recommendation placement is on by default. Without a dedicated bid, the ad group default bid also applies to that placement. If you want to run only in the search placement, choose the display medium type in the ad group [Advanced options] and select only the search placement.

How do I change the publish date or image of a creative I already registered?

You cannot edit a registered creative directly. To change the publish date, create a new creative with [Edit and register as new] in the creative list. The existing creative is not deleted and stays in place. To change an imported content image, you must register a new creative if you edited the image at the landing URL.

Which date do I enter as the content publish date?

Enter the date the content in the ad was first written. The help page says to enter the date shown as the written date on the blog, cafe or post as it is.

Can I show Power Contents only on PC or only on mobile?

Yes. In the display medium type setting under ad group [Advanced options], you can choose only one of PC and mobile, or only one of the search placement and the recommendation and content placement. Note that even if you restrict the mobile medium, the ad may still appear if the user views the PC version on a mobile device.

Today, use 'Find by post' on the Ads Center keyword tab to check whether the blog post you want to promote has keywords you can purchase.
