There are six marketing and AI changes to check in week 4 of October 2026. They are the Neopda Sale tab in the Naver PC main shopping block (Naver is Korea's largest search engine), image extraction turned on by default for new Google Ads Performance Max (PMax) campaigns, Google Ads financial services verification in the US and Canada, BigQuery ObjectRef general availability (GA), a Gemini text-to-speech (TTS) price increase, and Claude Opus 5.5 support in Antigravity.
All three ad updates come with announced start dates, so first check whether your running accounts are affected. The three data and AI updates change usage conditions or pricing. Below, each item covers what changed, who should check it, and the official source with a related guide. For last week's news, see Marketing and AI changes, October week 3.
Naver PC main shopping block runs a Neopda Sale tab from October 26
From October 26 to November 6, the third tab in the Naver shopping block changes from 'N+ Store Benefits' to 'Neopda Sale'.

What changed In its advertiser center notice, Naver said it will replace the N+ Store Benefits tab in the PC main shopping block with the Neopda Sale tab for the period. It added that the schedule may change. Only products that run ADVoost Shopping or Shopping Search Ads and also join Neopda Sale appear in this tab, and they get a Neopda Sale badge.
Who should check Sellers who run Shopping Search Ads or ADVoost Shopping. In the campaign placement settings, check that “Naver Main - PC” is on and that Neopda Sale products are in the ad group. After the start date, open the third tab on the PC main page and confirm that badged products appear, even when you are logged out.
The detailed steps are in Running Naver Shopping Search Ads in the Neopda Sale tab.
Google Ads turns on image extraction by default for new PMax campaigns from December 4
From December 4, image extraction is on by default for newly created PMax campaigns.

What changed On the official blog, the Google Ads API team said that from December 4, image extraction (GENERATE_IMAGE_EXTRACTION) will be on by default (OPTED_IN) for new PMax campaigns. It is the same whether you create the campaign in the Google Ads interface, Editor, or the API. It also applies to new campaigns even if the account-level dynamic image setting is off. The feature lets Google AI find high-resolution images on your landing page and use them as assets.
Who should check Operators who create PMax campaigns with templates or API scripts. Check whether your landing page images may be used in ads. If you do not want that, add OPTED_OUT to the creation request before December 4.
How to turn it off and a GAQL check query are in Image extraction on by default for new Performance Max campaigns.
Google Ads tightens US and Canada financial ad verification in early 2027
From early 2027, running some financial ads in the US and Canada will require proof of approval from a regulator or an authorized registry.

What changed On the official blog, Google said it is expanding its financial services verification program to the US and Canada. On top of general identity checks, advertisers must show approval from a regulator or an authorized registry. Checking accounts and credit cards are given as examples. Google said it will publish the accepted registries and required documents separately in country-specific guidance.
Who should check Korean companies that advertise financial products to users in the US or Canada. There is nothing to submit now. Wait for Google's country-specific guidance and the verification request notice, and get your regulator registration documents in order.
The scope and preparation steps are in Google Ads financial ad verification in the US and Canada.
BigQuery ObjectRef is generally available, so you can analyze images, audio and documents in SQL
BigQuery ObjectRef reached GA on October 22, and you can pass Cloud Storage files to Gemini from inside SQL.

What changed On the official blog, Google Cloud announced ObjectRef and multimodal analysis as GA. ObjectRef is a value that points to a Cloud Storage object, so you can pass images, audio and documents to functions such as AI.CLASSIFY and AI.GENERATE without copying the files. With GA, you can also query directly with your own IAM permissions. It works in all BigQuery editions and on-demand.
Who should check Data teams that store call recordings, product images and contract PDFs in BigQuery and classify them with a separate pipeline. Production pipelines should use the BigQuery connection method that the announcement still recommends. For one-off analysis, you can start with your own permissions.
The first query and permission setup are covered in How to use BigQuery ObjectRef.
Gemini TTS voice design and cloning: paid prices double from January 2027
Gemini 3.8 TTS can design a voice from a text description or clone one from two recordings, and paid prices double on January 1, 2027.

What changed Google covers voice design and cloning in the Gemini API speech generation docs and the voice replication docs. Cloning needs a reference recording and a consent recording from the same adult speaker. Per the pricing page, the price per 1 million tokens is below. The free tier is free for both input and output.
| Item | Until December 31, 2026 | From January 1, 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Text input | 0.50 | 1 |
| Audio output Flash | 9 | 18 |
| Audio output Flash-Lite | 6 | 12 |
Who should check Teams that generate voice prompts or video narration in bulk through the API. Before year end, calculate your monthly token usage, rebuild the budget with the new rates, and compare whether the cheaper Flash-Lite fits your high-volume jobs.
The required recordings and settings are in How to use Gemini TTS voice design and cloning.
Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 are available in Antigravity, but companies need admin approval
You can pick Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 in the Google Antigravity model menu, but company accounts must be enabled by an admin first.

What changed On the official blog, Google Cloud said it added both models to Antigravity for Google Cloud customers. Once an admin enables them, developers can pick them straight from the model menu. Plan conditions and the settings location follow the Antigravity models docs.
Who should check Cloud admins at companies that have rolled out Antigravity to their dev teams. Third-party models are off by default and can only be approved after overage billing is turned on. Usage is billed through Cloud billing, not Google's token quota. Set a monthly spending limit for the project before you turn it on.
Availability by plan and the setup steps are in How to use Claude Opus 5.5 in Antigravity.
When to check each item this week, and common mistakes
Pick only the items that apply to you and check them before the dates below. The Naver tab starts on October 26, so you can look at it now. The rest still have time.

| Update | When to check | Where to check |
|---|---|---|
| Naver Neopda Sale tab | October 26 to November 6 | “Naver Main - PC” in campaign placement settings, and the third tab on the PC main page |
| PMax image extraction | Before December 4 | Campaign creation templates, and automation settings queried with GAQL |
| Gemini TTS pricing | Before December 31 | Monthly token usage and a budget recalculated at the new rates |
| US and Canada financial ad verification | After Google's guidance in early 2027 | Google's country-specific guidance and verification request notices |
There are two easy-to-miss points. On the official blog, Google said image extraction will be on by default for new PMax campaigns after December 4 even if the account-level dynamic image setting is off, so do not rely on the account setting alone. For third-party models in Antigravity, per the Antigravity models docs and Google Cloud guidance, an admin must turn on overage billing and approve the model before anyone can use it.
